CEASE (Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation) are holding their first annual conference. The event is unique in that it will cover all forms of sexual exploitation, including pornography, child sexual abuse, grooming and prostitution. The connections between different types of sexual exploitation are examined to reveal their shared roots, one of which is the sexual objectification of women in our society. Janice Williams, chair of Object, will be speaking at the conference. Other speakers include: Fiona Broadfoot, survivor of prostitution and founder/CEO of the Build a Girl Project; Julie Bindel, feminist journalist and co-founder of Justice For Women; plus Dr Heather Brunskell-Evans, Filia Trustee and member of Object’s management committee.
